Ana sayfa / Technology

For over four years, Huawei has been dealing with sanctions imposed by the U.S. government. However, a new report emerged today indicating that this situation may change. According to the report, Huawei is making a comeback in the smartphone market with 5G devices powered by processors developed in collaboration with China-based SMIC. Here are the details!

Huawei 5G phones set to arrive by the end of this year!

In May 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce banned American companies from selling hardware and software to Huawei and cut off its access to 5G chipsets, placing them on the sanctions list. Since then, Huawei has been unable to access 5G processors. However, today’s reports shed light on the changing circumstances.

According to the report, Huawei is preparing to make a comeback with processors developed in collaboration with China-based SMIC, following a period of over four years. These claims are based on research firms that analyze the smartphone market.

Huawei has announced the Huawei Nova Y71: Specs and Price!

Huawei recently introduced its new smartphone, the Nova Y71. The device has garnered attention with its impressive specs.

According to the allegations, the two companies will leverage SMIC’s N+1 production process and Huawei’s electronic design automation software tools. However, the claims suggest that Huawei’s upcoming 5G processors will have an efficiency rate of less than 50%.

Additionally, it is estimated that the company will initially produce 2 to 4 million units of 5G processors. Huawei’s subsequent target is to reach 10 million units. This step holds significant importance for Huawei as it has struggled to find alternative suppliers for 5G processors since the implementation of U.S. sanctions.

The first Huawei phone featuring the newly developed 5G processor will be launched in the later part of this year. This situation appears to provide Huawei with a significant advantage in the smartphone market. However, there is no information available regarding the potential success of this partnership with SMIC.
